As the name reveals, High Point is a residential neighborhood at the highest elevation in all of Seattle. When you see the water towers on the west side of 35th Ave. SW (at Myrtle), visit the soccer field and playground to enjoy a spectacular view of the Seattle Skyline with a monument that points to many Seattle-area landmarks. The High Point Community center at 34th and Holly offers recreation, daycare, education and athletic activities to area residents. Newly constructed townhomes and attached single-family houses -- often candy colored in bright blue, green, orange or red -- mark much of the community. After crossing 35th Avenue SW, Morgan quickly becomes Sylvan Way and then Orchard St. as it winds past Forest Lawn Cemetery en route to Delridge Way where you’ll find Home Depot, The West Seattle Police Station and neighborhood mainstay, the Tug Inn tavern. Homes along the valley basin enjoy greenway access to Longfellow Creek on the southern edge of Camp Long.
